5.26. COBRA-Key+L: Switch focus tracking between Element Mode and Line Mode
With COBRA-Key+L you can switch between Element mode and Line mode in focus tracking.
Focus Tracking is where the focus (cursor) moves and COBRA keeps displaying it.
In Focus Tracking COBRA chooses between Line- and Element Mode.
Line Mode displays all the elements of the relevant line one after the other as a sighted person would see it.
Element Mode, however, shows only the focused element, and in a pre-defined manner and with an assigned letter. With message windows, the actual text is displayed behind the element.
Line mode can, to a certain extent, be compared to a BLINDOWS Hörschirm XX, and Element Mode to the way VIRGO is displayed on the Braille display.
You can also choose between Element Mode and Line Mode when navigating around the screen, i.e. when you move around the screen using the navigation functions; use
COBRA-Key+Shift+L
.
By default, Element Mode is activated for focus tracking, and Line Mode for navigation.
To change these settings and make them permanent, go to the COBRA Menu and then the “General” dialog.
