Tips on using Microsoft Encarta 2004

Microsoft Encarta 2004 is a comprehensive encyclopaedia, which offers articles and other media on a wide variety of historical and current themes.


Looking things up in Encarta

When you launch Encarta you will be taken automatically to the “Search” box, which you can also access with CTRL+F. Type in your desired search term and press Return. A window will appear with the search results. Use TAB to browse through the results until you find the one which best suits your criteria. Use the cursor keys to move up and down in the list; press Return to select an article and then have it read out in the COBRA Explorer . Use F5 to launch a new search as and when required.
